Policy on Age Groups for Speed Dating

What if I’m older/younger than the posted ages for an event?

If you are within 2 YEARS of the posted age group, you are welcome to attend.    For non  speed dating events (e.g. Speed Bowling etc), the grace period is 2 YEARS.

Example:  If the top age says 49 for example, you can be 51 and still attend a regular speed dating.

Why do you require proof of age at the events?  No other company does!

We do not believe it is fair to advertise one thing and deliver something else.  Other companies do not care and have a policy of “if you don’t tell, we won’t tell”, or “that is childish, we are all adults.”

The first thing people want to know when inquiring about an event is “how old are the attendees going to be.”    One of the primary complaints people express about other events is that the ages of the attendees are not as advertised, or that multiple age group events are combined into one, thus leaving the participant feeling cheated. This will not happen at a WeekendDating.com event. If you lie about your age, you will not be allowed to participate and will not receive a refund or credit towards another event.

Other Frequently asked question

Q: Why are most of your events structured so the men are older than the women? This is very unfair!!

A: We can not agree with you more.. It is not fair and in a perfect world, the ages of the participants would not matter.  However 80% of the guys we chat with are seeking women who are younger, where 50% of the ladies we speak with are looking for men who are a bit older.  This is why the age brackets are structured the way they are. We have tried to hold events where the ages are the same for men and women, however the turnout suffered. We do hold some non-speed dating events that are open to all ages, or where the ages are equal.

She dumped him by text message

It is such a different world from just a decade ago.  Getting something personal in the mail is a rare and many of us do just about everything by electronic means.  Why go shopping at the store, when we can hit a few buttons on our phone or computer and have just about anything delivered within the next few days.

Well the same can be said for when it is time to end it with someone you have been dating.  Last week, I was happy but surprised to see Johnny at a speed dating NYC  event.  I said “what are you doing here?  Last I heard you had met someone and were inseparable.”  He replied “That ended last week.  The worst part is that she didn’t even call me.  She ended it by text and wished me luck.  We were together for a little over 2 months.”

Ok, I am no saint.  I have ended something by email and have had women give me the “you’re a really nice guy.. but” via email as well.  However in both of these cases, it was with someone I had dated once or maybe twice.

So…………  At what point do you owe the person the courtesy of at least a phone call?  After xx number of dates?  After a certain time frame?  If you have been intimate?  Or is it ok to do everything by electronic means to eliminate the awkwardness.

What do you think?

The #1 thing that turns her on!

This article is written by Dating Coach David Wygant who coaches women and men:

Hi ,

What’s the number one turn-on for women?

Being good in bed?

No.

Telling hilarious jokes?

No, that’s not it either.

George Clooney charisma and a Victor Mature-like scent?

Nope.

Do you want to know what turns a woman on more than anything?

Self-confidence.

That’s right . Women are attracted to men who are full of self-confidence.

And now I’m about to share with you a secret that can multiply your self-confidence in a matter of days… but you must read on first.

Self-confidence is something that you have to believe from the inside out. It’s not about changing your core personality, but embracing who you really are.

Real attraction is created when a self-confident man walks over to a woman and says something in the moment.

A woman reading a man’s body language and seeing how he carries himself, will be able to tell that she is in the presence of a self-confident man.

It really doesn’t matter what you say, it’s how you say it.

So how do you change this?

How do you become the most confident version of yourself?

How do you learn to embrace the core personality of who you are so you become the powerful, strong, confident guy that women are attracted instantly?

Luckily, I went through the same thing when I was younger.

And so I came up with a simple, fast, easy system that will allow you to become self-confident, so you don’t have to change who you are.

You don’t have to memorize pick-up lines.

Hell, all you’ve got to do is use your personality.

So unlock this self-confidence; let’s release that hot stud that’s been hiding inside.

And I’m going to share with you — right now — the secret that enabled me to do this.

You’re going to be able to do everything that I was able to do, but you’ll be able to do it a lot faster because I had to teach myself how to do this. But you won’t have to teach yourself this at all.

It’s real simple, real easy, and you can start today.   Men you can learn more here.

Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.

A quick way to attract a man…

This article is written by Dating Coach David Wygant who coaches women and men:

Do you want to be in a relationship?

Do you want to get up next to a guy and know that he is the special one?

So just how can you meet the one special guy?

What is the 1st small step to bring  love into your life?

Might you be shocked to know that is can be as easy as writing him a letter?

Just how can you write the guy of your dreams a note  if you have not even met him yet?

I believe that you’ve already met him. He is in your soul,  your mind and in your heart already.

One of the big mistakes that women make is that they are out looking at dating as a resume game.

They are looking for a guy that is the perfect package, the perfect age, the ideal height, the perfect weight, the ideal  job, and everything else.

So sit down and write him a note like he already exists.

You can write something like this.

Dear future perfect man,

I have been thinking about you today and I wanted to get a few things out.

I have always imagined what it is going to be like being next to you.

Next, you want to describe  exactly what it’ will be like being next to him.

How would you feel in his arms?  Let him know

Write about how it feels to be next to him in the movies, sitting across from him at a table.

Write about everything you feel about the way you’re going to feel when you’re in the presence of your future soul mate.

In order to attract the right man, you need to be able to visualize who he is, what he’s about, how he makes you feel.  Once again, listen to what I’m saying: it’s all about feelings.

Here’s the deal Jay: when you date and meet men, you can go back to that letter and determine whether the man sitting across from the table is the same guy you imagined.

It’s going to prevent you from wasting time with men who aren’t what you want.

It’s all about feelings.

So get those pens out and start writing that amazing, beautiful letter.

Lies people tell on Internet dates- #10 and #9

The following comes from my friend Caron who found this online.

1) “Of course, I would enjoy having a few more cocktails”

Almost all  internet dates probably should be finished after drink number one.  Approximately  90 percent of them. However, it just seems like a rude thing to do.. Your date’s face indicates “I wouild prefer watching TV”, while you give a return look that screams  “Me too!  I would event accept tv informercials!” For some crazy reason, he bartender comes aound asking if you want another drink and neither of you has the courage to say… Check please.  You both stare at your cell phone  and say to yourself… “wow, I have only been here for 15 minutes.  Ok, lets have another!”   Your brain knows better, but you still do it.  But why????  !   Daters need to have the cohones to say… No thank you.. It was nice meeting you, but I have to go.  There is absolutely no shame in doing that.

2) “Nope, I have never been to this location before.. It seems very nice.

If you are a female on an internet date, and the man has chosen the location, then their is a good chance he has been there before.   On Multiple occassions.  With many different ladies.  Guys are creatures of habit and if we find a good date place, we go back..
