Where to go on a first date?
Jay,
Would you please consider the topic of where to go on a first date a discussion for your blog. Please ask people to be as specific as possible as to great places to go and what to do.
Secondly, if we are having a good time on our date, what are some ideas to extend the date for another 1 to 3 hours.
Thanks very much.
Mark

If a man is seriously interested in pursuing a woman…the first date needs to be somewhere relatively quiet–where he can HEAR – and then LISTEN to what she is saying. Within the conversation–he should ask what some of her interests are. If she says – she enjoys art, museums, sporting events, and is active – loves the outdoors…it will be easy to plan the second date. If she is only into dining out and shopping…then it’s a tough call. She may not be that interesting as a person anyway! If she has diverse interests – the MOMA is great. A photography buff? Take her to the museum of Photography! It’s simple. Does she like the Rangers? Get tickets to a live hockey game. Is she into winter sports or active – take her skating. The beach may not be appropriate–too much skin for 1 or 2nd dates…and a woman may perceive that as a man trying to get more of a peek than he is entitled to. Wrong move. Is she into art – there are tons of Exhibits going on in NYC alone. Wine tasting events. Something fun–but not too intimate – like a couple’s massage – things of that nature can wait until you know each other better. Mini-golf is great in the Spring/Summer. Billiards and bowling is fun anytime of year. You don’t need much of an imagination – you just need to listen – when she is actually talking! And from what I keep hearing…women supposedly Talk – probably too much. So–it should be easy enough.
